Mel`s Drive-In in Los Angeles

Service was friendly and fast. Food quality was uneven. We enjoyed some items, others were meh. The biggest problem that we had with Mel's was the pricing: Way too expensive. $12+ for mozzarella sticks (and not great ones at that)?? Come on...

Great service. Comfortable outdoor dining.

5 of us went to Mel's for my grand daughter's birthday. They were really slammed, but everyone was so nice. The food was great, especially the onion rings. The best I have ever had. Please be warned that the chicken pot pie is big enough for a small family. It was a very good experience and I highly recommend Mel's.

As a fan of the long ago show, One Day at a Time, I tend to eat at Mel's whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Today is one of those days. The decor is typical diner. There's even a jukebox.The service is efficient and friendly, and the food is organic and delicious. I had the Route 66 burger, rare. It was meaty and juicy. There were string onion rings, lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing. Delicious. My wife had scrambled eggs mixed with turkey sausage and home fries. She loved it.There's free parking and outdoor seating for parties of two or less when the weather is good.I recommend this place.

Mel's drive-in its great for that classic car enthusiast's or Somebody that just loves the 1950 or the 60 They did open in 1947 I believe somewhere in San Francisco. Make sure you try one of their great Burger And you can never go wrong with ordering one other amazing milkshakes!!

Really good service. Nice outside seating. The Penguin Shake was great. The rest of the meal was ok. Edible but not the quality I expect for the price.

Manuel the manager is wonderful, really sets an example for great customer service.

The best retro you can find. It'll take you back to when it all started. The impacanke service and great food. Jukebox, ambiance all will put you in a hologram like no other. Something catchy is going on here. In about thirty five minutes there no seats left in the house. The crowd keep coming in. Kids, groups, professionals all heading here to dine.Victoria who took care of us certainly added to the experience and what really customer service is. The signature dish is variety of crafted hamburgers to order. The ingridiants were fresh, tender with huge portions. In all, the food, the service, the devote, the experience was very unique indeed.

Came here for the 1st time being a diabetic I was not sure what to get. The waitress was very helpful with twhat I wanted and did great service. My 1st experience was GREAT❤

My first time ever eating here, I was impressed on how great the food and service was. I love the old fashion 50's diner look very beautiful. The waitress was very nice and polite and very assisting. Can't wait to come back here again this is must go to place to eat.

Rueben was pure fat. The meat was warm fat. No meat! So gross. And it was 16 dollars omg. It's food I guess if that is what you want.

This place was awesome!! I came here on graduation Day June 9th, 2020!! Class of 2020! The food was amazing, I got the original Mel’s Burger and Nachos!! The waitress I had was very nice, she got me graduation balloons🎈She goes to a sister school of mine! I meant to tag her on Instagram but I can’t remember if her name was spelled Zeraiza or not. She was very nice an professional and nice. I want to thank her so much again! With COVID going on and all, she made my day that day!! I will be visiting again soon 💖

Great atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and our server #167.. only have server id on receipt...was very attentative. Great experience.

First off Our Waitress was Amazing...However being that the Place was Not Busy and the World is Reopening it took Our Food Forever to be Served. We did Notice Our Order was Sitting Up there for a Good 5/10 mins before it was Finally brought to Our Table. When it was brought to the Managers Attention on Duty she Acted like it was No Big Deal. The Food was Delivered Cold and the Bread for the Burgers were Hard. The Manager Really made this Experience Uncomfortable.

The service was wonderful. The food was only so so. My ham and cheese omelet was very dry. The burgers were good but the fries were very hard. They have impossible burgers which is very nice.

Great chocolate shake. Plus are reminds me of Johnny Rockets. Like a restaurant with waiters on skates.
